Arden McKillop became Ontario U13 Provincial Champion over the weekend, finally beating Danika Deverill whom she had lost to on every previous meeting. The first 3 games were close- Arden winning 2 of them in over points, but she ran away in the 4th, winning 11-5, and with it her first ever Provincial title.
Duncan McKillop lost in the quarters of the main draw, unable to back up his 3rd place finish in the gold event 2 weeks earlier.
Bryan Hill lost in the second round of the cons, his first season in the U17s.
A week earlier, the masters provincial championships took place in Toronto. LSRC had 4 players participating- Rob Hill lost in the quarters of the 55+ Cons and Susan Murdoch lost in the main quarters of the 50+.
Rob Doherty and Caleb Quinlan excelled in the 40+. Rob lost a tight 3-2 in the semis to Scott Kemp-Gee, who in turn went on to beat Caleb in the final. Rob finished 4th and Caleb 2nd.

Notable absentees were Anne Smith who came 2nd in the 60+ nationals and is recovering from hip surgery; Balfour Noble who came 2nd on the 70+ nationals and Craig Hall who was the reigning 60+ champion.
Congratulations to all who took part.
